Given recent comments in the news and from opponents to the “Rockledge” project regarding Valley Forward, I feel compelled to set the record straight regarding the organization – who we are, why it was established, what we have accomplished and where we are going.

To Support progress in the Roanoke Valley with a view towards prosperity for future generations and the betterment of our community. To attract and retain young professionals and engage them in maintaining and improving the economic conditions in our region.
Valley Forward was created to organize the younger generation and advocate economic development and quality of life initiatives and ideas that will benefit the
RoanokeValley for generations to come. Valley Forward is a volunteer group of young people with the simple mission of improving life in the
RoanokeValley and by fostering progress that will aid in retaining and harnessing the abundant creative energies of the younger, professional set.
